What we collect
a. Basic information required for signing up for Uni Services: Uni and it’s partners collect some
information about you such as name, email id, PAN, postal code and phone number etc. required
Account opening. This information is used to uniquely identity you and enable us to provide
services to You.
b. Usage data: We collect information on your interaction with our application and your usage
of our services. This includes transaction level information including details of purchases, loan
amounts used, payment method etc, which are related to the Uni Services. We use this
information for legal and regulatory reasons, along with provision of Uni Services to you.
c. KYC: In order to receive the services, Lenders and other partners of Uni require certain
information from you for legal and regulatory reasons. Such information can include identity
proof or address proof in the form Aadhaar, passport, driving license, bank account information,
utility bills etc.
d. Device level data: We collect information of your device, such as IP address, device
identification etc for security and fraud prevention reasons.
e. Financial SMS data: When You grant us permission on your mobile device, we can collect
financial data stored on your mobile device. You can disable this access at any time on your
mobile device. We use this information to provide services, including loan processing.
f. Location Data: We collect location information from your device to validate your KYC
documents like address etc.. and to reduce the risk associated with your account.
g. We require the storage information permission that allows the App to enable you to upload
photos and/or documents to complete the application form during your loan application journey.
h. We require the camera information permission to provide you an easy/smooth experience
and to enable you to click selfie and/or photos of your KYC documents along with other requisite
documents and upload the same on the App during your loan application journey.
i. Grievance related information: When you call our call centres or seek queries by
writing to us, we collect this information for training and improving our services.
j. Information collected from third parties: We interact with various third parties, and may
lawfully receive your information from parties for loan processing and provision of Uni Services
to you. Such third parties include credit bureaus, data analytics service providers, Lenders and
other partners etc.
How we use your information
The information provided by you, will be used to provide the Uni Services and other third party
services to you on the Portal, including:
• Account opening
• Verification of identity
• Providing Uni services
• KYC checks
• Credit risk assessment
• Authentication and authorization of Transactions
• Communications
• Collections or recovery of Loan
• Customer support
• Marketing and product research
• Disclosure to third party
• And such other purpose as required for the Uni Services.
• Legal and compliance reasons
